The ICC Men's T20 World Cup Trophy Tour in Fiji!

The following is the schedule of media opportunities on Thursday 3 November at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.

Melbourne

Media are invited to attend the launch of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 finals series for a vision and interview opportunity with former Australian captain Ricky Ponting on Thursday, 3 November at 10h00 AEDT at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.****Ponting will also be joined by Australian musicians as details of the closing celebrations for the Final are revealed.

Accredited reporters, camerapersons and photographers will be permitted to capture content from the venue and are advised to enter via Gate 2. Media who are not accredited but would like to attend must email Danielle Balales danielle.balales@t20worldcup.com.au.

Sydney

Pakistan and South Africa play their Group 2 match at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) at 19h00 local time (Australian Eastern Daylight Time). The teams will hold their post-match media conferences about 15 minutes after the end of the match in person and via Zoom. A player from the losing team will come in first, followed by a player from the winning team. A few players from each team will also be available for short stand-up interviews in the Mixed Zone, shortly after the press conferences have concluded.

Adelaide

In Group 1 of the Super 12 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, Ireland play New Zealand at Adelaide Oval on Friday 4 November at 14h30 local time (Australian Central Daylight Time), followed by Australia versus Afghanistan at 18h30.

On Thursday 3 November:

  • Ireland will train at the Adelaide Oval between 09h00 and 12h00. They will hold their pre-match press conference in person and via Zoom at 12h00.
  • New Zealand will train at the Adelaide Oval between 09h00 and 12h00. They will hold their pre-match press conference in person and via Zoom at 12h15.
  • Afghanistan will train at the Adelaide Oval between 12h00 and 15h00. They will hold their pre-match press conference in person and via Zoom at 11h30.
  • Australia will train at the Adelaide Oval between 15h00 and 18h00. They will hold their pre-match press conference in person and via Zoom at 14h15.

Please note access to the venue on match day-1 is for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup accredited media only.

Press conference and filming information

  • Press conferences at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will generally follow a hybrid model where apart from those attending in person, media persons will also be able to log on remotely via Zoom (as per details given above). Some media conferences may also be conducted remotely only via Zoom. Please ensure you are logged on five minutes prior to the start times of the press conferences.
  • Non-Rights Holders are allowed to film match day-1 press conferences but no filming is allowed inside the venues on match days. Videos shot at venues on match day -1 may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels.
