The following is the schedule of media opportunities on Saturday, 11 February at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023:

Paarl

West Indies play England in a Group B match at Boland Park starting 15h00 local time (+2 GMT). Both teams will hold post-match press conferences with a player from the losing team coming in first followed by a player from the winning team.

Australia play New Zealand in a Group A match at Boland Park starting 19h00 local time. Both teams will hold post-match press conferences with a player from the losing team coming in first followed by a player from the winning team.

Please note that access to the media centre at Boland Park is via the Drive Gate, enter through Turnstiles Gate 1 and proceed to the Presidential Suite, which will be the media centre for the duration of the tournament.

Cape Town

On Sunday 12 February, India play Pakistan in a Group B match at Newlands starting 15h00 local time while Bangladesh play Sri Lanka in a Group A match at the same venue starting 19h00.

On Saturday, 11 February:

  • India will hold a training session at Newlands from 09h30 to 12h30 local time. They will hold their pre-match press conference, in person and via Zoom at 12h30.
  • Bangladesh will hold a training session at Western Province Cricket Club from 09h30 to 12h30 local time. They will hold their pre-match press conference in person and via Zoom at 12h45.
  • Pakistan will hold a training session at Newlands from 13h30 to16h30 local time. They will hold their pre-match press conference, in person and via Zoom at 13h00
  • Sri Lanka will hold a training session at Western Province Cricket Club from 13h30 to 16h30 local time. They will hold their pre-match press conference in person and via Zoom at 13h15.

Please note that all press conferences in Cape Town will be held in the media centre at Newlands. Access to the media centre is via the lift in the North (Oaks) Pavilion to the third floor, entering the pavilion, after which you go to the right, across the bridge between the pavilion and the media complex. Once in the media complex, take the first door to the right, up the staircase to the 4th floor media centre. On match day, volunteers will be on hand to assist with directions.

Press conference and filming information:

  • Press conferences will follow a hybrid model where apart from those attending in person, media will also be able to log on remotely via Zoom (as per details provided). Some media conferences may also be conducted only remotely. Please ensure you log on in advance.
  • Accredited Non-Rights Holders are allowed to film pre-match day press conferences, but no filming is allowed inside the venues on match days. Videos shot at venues on pre-match days may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.
  • The ICC will upload unedited press conference clips and some B-rolls onto the Online Media Zone. The footage, whether provided by the ICC or shot by the media themselves, may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.
  • No filming (either by camera or phone) is allowed from seats during the pre-match day press conferences; those wanting to film can do so from behind the theatre style seating arrangement
  • Non-Rights Holder camerapersons will not be granted match day accreditation

Note for photographers:

  • Photographers are expected to wear their bibs at all times and only move about in designated areas
  • On pre-match days they need to shoot from the areas identified by the Venue Operations Manager
  • On match-days, photographers need to arrive for a morning meeting one hour in advance of the toss, when they will be assigned photo positions by the Venue Operations Manager
  • NRH photographers will not be allowed at press conferences.

Media Centre timings: The media areas will open two hours before the start of the first match at any venue and remain open till 2 ½ hours after close of play.
