Media opportunities at ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 - Friday, 29 October
The following is the schedule of media opportunities on Friday, 29 October at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021:
Dubai
- Pakistan and Afghanistan play their Group 2 match of the Super 12s at the Dubai International Stadium on Friday at 18h00 and will hold their post-match press conferences about 15 minutes after the match.
- England and Australia play their Group 1 match of the Super 12s at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday at 18h00.
- Australia will be holding an optional training session at the ICC Academy on Friday between 18h00 and 21h00 and will also hold their pre-match press conference with Pat Cummins from 10:45 local time. This press conference will be held remotely only via zoom, meaning no in person attendance is possible. For those wishing to join the press conference, please use the Dubai zoom link shared below to access.
- England will be holding a training session at the ICC Academy on Friday between 18h00 and 21h00 and will also hold their pre-match press conference with Eoin Morgan from 15:00 local time. This press conference will be held remotely only via zoom, meaning no in person attendance is possible. For those wishing to join the press conference, please use the Dubai zoom link shared below to access.
Sharjah
- West Indies and Bangladesh play their Group 1 match of the Super 12s at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium at 14h00 will hold their post-match press conferences about 15 minutes after the match.
- This will be followed by the pre-match press conferences of Sri Lanka and South Africa both accessible only via Zoom (meaning no in-person access for media) also using the Sharjah Zoom link. They play each other the following day at 14h00 local time in Sharjah.
- Sri Lanka is at 18h00 local time followed by South Africa at 18h30 local time.
Note regarding collection of accreditation cards:
Those who opted for Dubai as the accreditation pick up point now need to collect their cards from the ICC Headquarters in Sports City, between 12h00 and 14h00 local time on Friday.

Some other points to note:
Media interactions are being held on a hybrid model, allowing a limited number of journalists to join in person with the global media allowed to join remotely. Those joining remotely, please login ahead of expected time of media interactions.
Media may only be allowed in pre-match day practice sessions. They can’t attend all practice sessions during the tournament. Those found breaching the protocols and attending other training sessions may have their accreditation cards revoked.
NRH camerapersons are not allowed at the pre-match media conferences and will not get match-day accreditation. Press conference clips will be uploaded on the Online Media Zone for TV channels and websites only. These cannot be shared on any Social Media platforms. Filming is not allowed inside venues on match days.
Reporters wanting to attend any media conference need to produce proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of attending a match at any venue. This is an event requirement, and the ICC has arranged for these tests. More about this can be found in our advisory here.
