The following is the schedule of media opportunities on Saturday, 6 November at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021:

Abu Dhabi:

  • Australia and the West Indies play their Group 2 match of the Super 12s in Abu Dhabi at 14h00 local time. The teams will hold their post-match media conferences about 15 minutes after the end of the match.
  • On Sunday 7 November, New Zealand and Afghanistan play their Group 2 match of the Super 12s in Abu Dhabi at 14h00 local time.
  • New Zealand will hold their pre-match press conference with Ish Sodhi on 6 November at 12h00 local time remotely only via Zoom meaning no person in attendance is possible. For those wishing to join the press conference remotely, please use the Abu Dhabi link shared below to access.
  • Afghanistan will hold their pre-match press conference on 6 November at 12h30 local time remotely only via Zoom meaning no person in attendance is possible. For those wishing to join the press conference remotely, please use the Abu Dhabi link shared below to access.

Sharjah

  • England and South Africa play their Group 1 match of the Super 12s in Sharjah at 18h00 local time. The teams will hold their post-match media conferences about 15 minutes after the end of the match.
  • Scotland and Pakistan play their Group 2 match of the Super 12s in Sharjah on Sunday 5 November at 18h00 local time. Ahead of the match both teams will hold their pre-match media conferences.
  • Scotland will hold their pre-match press conference with captain Kyle Coetzer at 13h30 local time remotely only via Zoom meaning no person in attendance is possible. For those wishing to join the press conference remotely, please use the Sharjah link shared below to access.
  • Pakistan will hold their pre-match press conference at 14h00 local time remotely only via Zoom meaning no person in attendance is possible. For those wishing to join the press conference remotely, please use the Sharjah link shared below to access.

Some other points to note:

At the completion of the Super 12s stage, the top two teams in each group will progress to the semi-finals. The team placed first in Group 1 will play the team placed second in Group 2 in Semi Final 1 – Abu Dhabi, 10 November. The team placed first in Group 2 will play the team placed second in Group 1 in Semi Final 2 – Dubai, 11 November. If host country India qualify for the semi-finals, they will play in Semi Final 2 in Dubai.

Media interactions are being held on a hybrid model, allowing a limited number of journalists to join in person with the global media allowed to join remotely. Those joining remotely, please login ahead of expected time of media interactions. Media may only be allowed in pre-match day practice sessions. They can’t attend all practice sessions during the tournament.

NRH camerapersons are not allowed at the pre-match media conferences and will not get match-day accreditation. Press conference clips will be uploaded on the Online Media Zone for TV channels and websites only. These cannot be shared on any Social Media platforms. Filming is not allowed inside venues on match days.

Reporters wanting to attend any media conference need to produce proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of attending a match at any venue. This is an event requirement, and the ICC has arranged for these tests. More about this can be found in our advisory here.

Accreditation for knockouts

Please note that the accreditation portal will be open on 7 and 8 November for match-day applications for the semi-finals and final. Only those already accredited for the tournament will be allowed to apply. Please note that applying for matches will not guarantee you match-day seats. The match-day lists will be drawn up keeping in mind the participating teams, preference being given to media from those countries. A detailed advisory will be sent out in due course.
