Meet the Swami Army
Formed during India’s tour to Australia in 2003/04 by a group of 10 die-hard Indian cricket supporters, the Swami Army has grown significantly, boasting more than 5,000 members across the globe including the USA, UK, Singapore and the UAE and are regularly recognised as the leading Indian cricket supporter group, with a presence at every Team India match.
With the ICC Cricket World Cup just over a year away, the Army is seeking to extend its growing member base to ensure a vocal and colourful atmosphere at Team India’s matches across Australia and New Zealand and will be warmly welcomed in grounds in Australia and New Zealand.
