Mohammed Hafeez recalled to Pakistan Test squad
He has continued to represent Pakistan in limited-overs cricket and played a key role in their Champions Trophy 2017 victory but had appeared to have fallen out of favour in the longer format.
He forced his way back in through a stellar season in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy, Pakistan’s first-class competition. With the bat he averaged 93.33 with a high score of 213, while with the ball he took 12 wickets at 15.58 with best figures of 6/62.
Hafeez has played 50 Tests since his debut in 2003. He has scored 3,452 runs at an average of 39.22 with nine centuries, and has taken 52 wickets at an average of 33.90 with a best haul of 4/16.
