Nepal sealed a seven-wicket win over the Cayman Islands today in its warm-up fixture at Navile.

Having won the toss, Paras Kadka chose to field and his side managed to limit the Cayman Islands to 169 in 46.2 overs.

The Cayman Islands opening batsman Ramon Sealy was the top scorer for the Caribbean side with 63 off 137 balls before departing after being caught by Basant Regmi off the bowling Manjeet Shrestha.

The Islanders other top scoring batmen were Ricardo Roche (26), Saheed Mohammad (24) and tail-ender Alessandro Morris (22) but the Nepalese bowling attack was too strong for the side and it's middle order failed to fire.

The Nepal bowlers were on target with Shakti Gauchan the pick taking 2-15 in his seven overs, while Kadka walked away with 2-18 in his three.

When the time came for Nepal to bat, it took the side just 29.2 overs to knock off the runs losing just three wickets in the process.

Anil Mandal opened the batting alongside Mahesh Chhetri and proved his worth by scoring an impressive 94 before departing after being caught by Pearson Best off the bowling of Bovell.

All-rounder Shakti added another 29 runs before departing and it took Pradeep Airee to wrap things up for the Nepal side with a solid 35 off 24 balls.
