Nepal emerge champions
Nepal emerged champions in the ACC U-19 Women's Championship in a rain-curtailed title clash on Tuesday. In the final, Nepal beat Bhutan by five wickets at the Indian Association Ground in Singapore on Tuesday.
Opting to field first in a match reduced to twenty overs a side, Nepal restricted Bhutan to 53 for six. Nepal chased down the target in 17.2 overs to emerge champions.
In the third place play-off, Hong Kong got the better of UAE by eight wickets at the Ceylon Sports Club. UAE elected to bat and were restricted to 97 for seven in 22 overs in another rain-curtailed game. Hong Kong chased down the target in 17.4 overs.
