Nepal register 304 run win over Oman

Nepal registered a comprehensive 304 run win over Oman in a Group B encounter in the ACC U19 Elite Cup at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok on Tuesday.

Nepal posted 391 for 4 in its 50 overs thanks to Fazlur Rahman Khan (101: 99b, 10x4), Sagar Pun (83: 80b, 4x4) and Pradeep Airee (86: 40b, 6x4, 5x6).

In its reply Oman was shot out for 87 in 31.5 overs. Rahul Vishwakarma (3-14), Avinash Karn (2-22) were the best bowlers on view for Nepal.

In another Group B encounter, UAE beat hosts Thailand by four wickets. Thailand was shot out for 88 in 45.4 overs at the Asian Institute of Technology ground in Bangkok. Man of the Match Mohsin Khan (3-11) was the best bowler on view for UAE alongside Chirag Suri (3-26). Mohsin then scored a crucial 21 to lead UAE to a win.

Qatar beat Singapore by five wickets at the Prem Oval in Chiang Mai in a Group A match. Singapore posted 185 in 46.3 overs, Qatar overhauled the target in 45.5 overs. At the Gymkhana ground Malaysia beat Bahrain by 164 runs in a Group A match. Malaysia made 229 for 9 in its 50 overs and shot out Bahrain for 65 in 33 overs.
