The Netherlands? face the England Performance Programme Squad tomorrow in their opening one day match, as part of their winter tour of Dubai and India.

First stop was in Dubai were the Dutch XI ticked off four victories and only one defeat to the UAE Academy. The tour ended in the UAE with a match against ?Danube lions?- a building materials company that sponsors cricket in the UAE. Peter Drinnen, the Netherlands coach was delighted with the initial part of the tour. "The two weeks provided the team with an opportunity to train under testing conditions with outstanding facilities. The players committed to the two weeks putting in a significant amount of work and the support we received from the ICC Global Cricket Academy has been exceptional. Also we need to thank UAE Cricket for providing good opposition for our three competitive matches. Overall a successful training phase. This has all been made possible due to the support of our major sponsor ABN AMRO ".

The team then travelled to Mumbai, India last week where they through ABN AMRO, the team conducted two cricket clinics to foundations that the bank supports in India, the Support Foundation and The Hamara Foundation. The Netherlands, Anton Roux on his blog rooster55555 showed what an experience it was for the team, ?The Sponsor Manager, Steven Sedee summed it up perfectly on the bus before everything started, when he said that we should bear in mind that today will most likely be the greatest day in these kids? lives. Little did he know that today, together with ABN AMRO and the kids would be one of the greatest days in OUR lives,? said Roux.

With Mondays warm up game under their belt- they face tomorrow the England Performance Programme squad in a one day match, followed by a second one day match on Thursday and then a T20 match on Sunday. This is a fantastic programme for the Dutch and ICC Europe wish them the very best.
