New faces included as Pakistan name squad for Asian Games

Four players yet to feature at T20I level for Pakistan have been included in the squad for the Asian Games 2026.

A host of new faces have been included as Pakistan revealed their 15-player squad for this year's edition of the Asian Games.

Pakistan's top-order batter Sahibzada Farhan rewrote the record books with his 383 runs in the 2026 edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. He has now the most runs for any player in the Men's T20 World Cup.

Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Maaz Sadaqat and Saad Masood are in contention to earn their first T20I cap after being included in the squad, with experienced batter Sahibzada Farhan to lead the side in the 10-team tournament that commences in Japan on September 24.

Right-handed batter Abdul Samad will deputise as vice-captain for Pakistan during the tournament.
