New Zealand will look to complete a 5-0 series whitewash in the fifth and final ODI against Pakistan in Wellington on Friday. After their five-wicket win at Hamilton, the Black Caps have now won 10 out of the last 11 ODIs they have played against Pakistan – with one game rained out.

While the first three matches of the series were largely one-sided affairs (the tourists were bowled out for 74 in the third match), Pakistan fought back in game four, having New Zealand 154/5 before Colin de Grandhomme led them to victory by smashing 74 from 40 balls.

The visitors, who won the Champions Trophy in England in 2017, have so far been dominated in all aspects by the Black Caps. To add to Pakistan’s woes, all-rounder Shoaib Malik was struck on the back of his head while running between the wickets during the fourth ODI. While he batted on, he did not take the field in the second innings due to some signs of delayed concussion and may not be available for the final game.
