With the top-order dismissed relatively cheaply, Ellyse Perry and Tahlia McGrath combined for a superb partnership to help Australia post a decent total. Meg Lanning was at it again as the inspirational captain scored her 15th ODI century to guide her side to victory. A well-rounded performance with the ball - and a contender for catch of the tournament from Ashleigh Gardner - helped restrict South Africa to just 271/5 and that was never going to be enough with Lanning in a destructive mood. Lanning hit 15 boundaries and one six during her entertaining 130-ball knock that ensured Australia remained unbeaten.

Beth Mooney was the steady head that held her nerve when others failed to ensure Australia eased past Bangladesh's modest total on a wet and windy day in Wellington. Jess Jonassen and Ashleigh Gardner picked up two wickets apiece during Bangladesh's batting innings and Mooney's heroics with the bat were enough to make sure Australia entered the semis undefeated on the back of seven straight wins.
