#OnTheUp: England’s 1000th, and changes at the Home of Cricket
England played the 1000th Test of their cricketing history at Egdbaston this week, and there was much to celebrate. The all-time English XI picked by fans looked like quite a team and generated plenty of debate, but Geoffrey Boycott didn't see it as a winning combination.
England cricket fans have voted for their best-ever XI!

An important chunk of the English pace attack, however, was in the middle of another important debate.

Meanwhile, the (hot) winds of change are blowing at the Home of Cricket.
Due to the abnormally warm temperatures, MCC has decided to dispense with requirement for gentlemen to wear jackets in the Pavilion and arrive wearing one.

We couldn't believe it either.

Hackers tried to slam one past Sarah Taylor, only to be stumped by her quick response.
.@instagram is it possible to speak to someone about my account being hacked? They've changed all the info so I can't access anything :(

As his England teammates play ‘The Test’ at Edgbaston, Eoin Morgan sat down to read it.

As kisses were blown into the air at Edgbaston, KP decided to plant them somewhere else.
Alex Hartley found it funny, but what was Keaton Jennings doing there?
Shashi Tharoor, the Indian politician, thought back to the good old days of radio.
I remembering listening to the BBC radio commentary in New York. What an extraordinary moment! And then our No 11 (Maninder?) got out the 1st ball of the next over. Sadly, we still lost the Test, but KapilDev gave us fans such magical memories.... https://t.co/c5Y0eXSLet

Words of encouragement from an all-time inspiration. It's all gold for the Indian opener at the moment!
Watching @mandhana_smriti putting bowlers to the sword here at Taunton. She is brilliant to watch. Great ambassador and great skill
