#OnTheUp: King of the finish, fast cars and history at Lord’s
On the week the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 fixtures were released, the king of the finish announced loud and clear that he’s still got what it takes. The MS Dhoni demolishing bowling attacks this Indian Premier League 2018 is the MS Dhoni of old, cool to the end in knocking off tricky chases.
After his 34-ball 70* against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore for Chennai Super Kings, Dhoni was the big topic of conversation.
Everything from his batting …
It was a pleasure to commentate on that tonight! MSD is a genius and people who would ever write someone like him off may be feeling very silly over the last few weeks...

The unfortunate bowler at the receiving end was Corey Anderson.
Marizanne Kapp, ranked No.3 in women’s ODIs, was not impressed at the turn the match took.
Can’t it be @ICC World Cup time already??? ABD is on 🔥#RCBvsCSK 🏏

But, apparently, even T20 wasn’t fast enough for Kevin Pietersen.
Elsewhere, a bit of history was made in Ireland.
A great moment of history this morning at the Cricket Ireland AGM. Outgoing President Brian Walsh hands the role to Irish cricket’s first woman President - Aideen Rice. We wish Aideen well in her new role with a big year ahead for the sport. #BackingGreen pic.twitter.com/nHOWCQOTWo

I wish you everything of the best. #Legend
And Ellyse Perry gave everybody a reminder of the kind of work it takes to be the No.1 all-rounder.
Progression on run up work. Using the hurdles to stay in strong running position and keep hips/knee drive towards the target. Cones are to stop any lateral shift before delivery stride. pic.twitter.com/565HRioe3h
