#OnTheUp: Kohli-Steyn, the 10-year reunion

We start, however, with Parthiv Patel. He pulled a Dhoni on, well, Dhoni, who had hammered 4, 6, 6, 2, 6 off Umesh Yadav in the final over of Chennai Super Kings' match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

With only two runs needed off the last ball, however, things took a dramatic turn – Dhoni was beaten and in their attempt at a frantic single, Shardul Thakur was run out, with wicket-keeper Parthiv throwing down the stumps. Bangalore won by a run, and there was sheer jubilation for Kohli.

That run-out, however, would have seemed familiar to Dhoni ...

It was a thriller in the IPL. In fact, the game had it all – that Kohli-Steyn moment broke the internet.

In the middle of all that, Steyn somehow managed to find time to answer this very key question.

Speaking of which ... Ashwin attempted itagain. This time, in place of Jos Buttler, it was Shikhar Dhawan, who was ready for just such an attempt. When Ashwin stopped, bowed his head and walked back, Dhawan flexed his muscles. When he ran in to bowl the next delivery, Dhawan, bat firmly in the crease, did a little jig.

It was riveting.

Meanwhile, with the burden of captaincy shifted to Steve Smith, Ajinkya Rahane scored a free-flowing century, albeit in a losing cause against Delhi Capitals.

David Warner has been churning out free-flowing knocks one after the other this IPL – and each time, his little cheerleaders have been cheering for their daddy dearest with intensity to match.

On to reunions, then, and we had a big one the other day. Can this please be declared the G.O.A.T reunion?

It wasn't just the IPL getting people talking, though. There was a nail-biting finish in the ICC World Cricket League Division Two game between hosts Namibia and United States of America.

And Down Under, wedding bells were ringing at the Melbourne Stars headquarters!

Elsewhere, Kevin Pietersen announced the launch of a documentary, about a cause he's very passionate about.

And, as the cricket family mourns the loss of Scotland's Con de Lange, here's something we'll all do well to watch.
