#OnTheUp: Kohli’s heroics and Borren’s tribute to Nepal

The Edgbaston Test oscillated wildly. In the end, England came out on top to celebrate their 1000th Test match with a win.

England might have won, but it wasn’t for lack of trying on the part of Virat Kohli.

Kohli’s 149 and 51 in an amazing one-man show was duly celebrated.

It was the sort of batting effort that deserved a big reward – it came up on cue.

The man himself took time off – the match got over a day early anyway – to relax a bit.

James Anderson, meanwhile, found a way to make Stuart Broad crack up after the gruelling encounter.

Before the Edgbaston Test got over, Nepal created history by registering their first ever win in ODI cricket, against the Netherlands in Amstelveen.

They took to Twitter to celebrate.

A special tribute came in from Peter Borren.

Elsewhere, Dean Jones, Kumar Sangakkara, and Scott Styris are up to … book kidnapping?

We're all excited about 300 again, but it has nothing to do with Gerard Buttler this time. It might still go down to a battle, though.

Elsewhere, Jimmy Neesham has an important question for Stan Wawrinka.

And Shahid Afridi and Chris Gayle might soon be seen in a six-hitting contest.
