Pakistan confirm squads for Asia Cup and Asian Games

Pakistan announced the 15-member squads for the Women’s Asia Cup and the Asian Games with skipper Fatima Sana returning to lead the unit after skipping the Sri Lanka T20I series due to her participation in The Hundred tournament. 

Pakistan squad for women’s Asia Cup: Fatima Sana (captain), Ayesha Zafar, Eman Naseer, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Momina Riasat, Muneeba Ali Siddiqui (wk), Najiha Alvi, Nashra Sundhu, Sadia Iqbal, Saira Jabeen, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Tuba Hassan, Umm-e-Hani, Waheeda Akhtar

Apart from the captain, Muneeba Ali, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Ayesha Zafar, Gull Feroza, Saira Jabeen, Eyman Fatima, Eman Naseer, Umm-e-Hani, Tuba Hassan, Nashra Sundhu and Momina Riasat are set to be a part of both the tournament squads.

Pakistan squad for Asian Games: Fatima Sana (captain), Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Eman Naseer, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Humna Bilal, Momina Riasat, Muneeba Ali (wk), Nashra Sundhu, Saira Jabeen, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Tasmia Rubab, Tuba Hassan, Umm-e-Hani.

Pakistan are placed in Group A alongside Hong Kong – China, India and Thailand in the women's Asia Cup, which is to be played from 28 August to 13 September at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The Asian Games then commences in Japan on September 17, with the Bronze and Gold Medal matches taking place on 22 September. All the matches are scheduled to take at Korogi Athletic Park in Aichi.

Pakistan won Gold Medals in the 2010 and 2014 in the Asian Games and finished fourth in the previous edition in 2022.
