Pakistan, Sri Lanka register comprehensive wins
Pakistan and Sri Lanka registered wins in the Acc Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup on Saturday.
Pakistan beat Hong Kong by 142 runs and Sri Lanka defeated host China by nine wickets.
Pakistan batting first posted 157 for seven in its 20 overs with Bismah Maroof (34) top-scoring for her side.
In its reply, Hong Kong was bowled out for a mere 15 in 13.1 overs. Qanita Jalil (3-7), Sadia Yousuf (2-1), Nida Dar (3-0) were the key wicket-takers.
Nida Dar was named Player of the Match.
China was restricted to 52 for nine in its 20 overs. Maduri Samuddika (2-14) was the best bowler on view for Sri Lanka.
In its reply Sri Lanka chased down the target in 5.3 overs to end at 54 for one. Chamari Atapattu (35 not out) led the way for Sri Lanka.
Atapattu was named the Player of the Match.
