Shoaib Malik led from the front, scoring 89 runs as Pakistan ran up a huge score of 306 for six in 50 overs in the fifth one-day international against India in Jaipur on Sunday. India have already won the ODI series but Pakistan clinched the last match to make it 3-2 in India's favour.

Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni decided to field first, but Pakistan openers Salman Butt and Imran Nazir posted 65 runs for the first wicket. Butt scored 36 and Nazir made 20.

While Yasir Hameed fell for just one, Mohammed Yousuf with 74 and Malik belted the Indian bowlers. Yousuf scored his runs off 82 balls while Malik's 89 came off 82 balls as well.

Late-order assault by Fawad Alam (32 off 23 balls) and Misbah ul-Haq (22 off 17) ensured that Pakistan went past 300.

S Sreesanth was the most successful bowler for India, claiming three wickets for 52 runs in his ten overs.

Pakistan picked up wickets at regular interval,. even though Sachin Tendulkar was once again looking in ominous touch. He made 30 off 27 balls with six fours to scare Pakistan, but fell to left-arm seamer Sohail Tanveer.

Young Rohit Sharma made a fine 52 off 61 balls and Yuvraj Singh scored 50 off 62 balls but those were not enough as India lost wickets at regular intervals.

Tanveer and skipper Shoaib Malik bowled superbly, and so did Iftikhar Anjum Rao to give Pakistan a consolation win.
