Pandey shines on Day 3 of ACC U16 Elite Cup

Nepal's Nischal Pandey starred with both bat and ball to help his side to an 85-run victory over Bahrain at Army School Ground on the third day of the ACC U16 Elite Cup on Thursday.

Pandey smashed 74 with the bat to help his side to 206-7 in 40 overs and then picked up 5-28 with the ball to limit the opposition to just 121-9.

In the other games of the day, Singapore thrashed Thailand by a massive 175 runs at Tribhuvan University. Batting first, Singapore posted 246-5 with V. Rajagopal top-scoring with 61 runs. In reply, Thailand was dismissed for 71 all out in 31.4 overs.

Malaysia defeated Saudi Arabia by six wickets at Engineering Ground scoring 126-4 in just 24.1 overs. Saudi Arabia was earlier dismissed for 125 all out in just 36.2 overs.

Saudi Arabia plays Singapore at Army School Ground on Thursday while Thailand meets Malaysia at Engineering Ground and Hong Kong battles Kuwait at Tribhuvan University.
