The Philippines have gone down by 22 runs in the first of two warm-up matches they will play against Fijian club sides whilst on route to Samoa for the Pepsi ICC EAP Division 2 Trophy.

Playing against Lautoka at Central College, Fiji national representative Sekove Ravoka showed his class with the bat to help the locals to record a comfortable victory.

Ravoka opened the batting for Lautoka, who won the toss and elected to bat, and held his wicket for almost the duration of his side's innings to finish with 33 runs.

It was clearly the standout batting performance of the match which Lautoka claimed by 22 runs, after posting a low total of 77 from their
20 overs.

But they managed to bowl the Philippines out for just 55 with Fiji national squad member Anare Tuidraki causing most of the damage, claiming 3-11 from his three overs.

Opening quick Lee Waqa managed 2-8 from his three overs, while Tui Lakeba chipped in with one highly destructive over where he took 2-1.

The attention will now turn to this afternoon's second game between Nadi and the Philippines.

Ravoka will captain this side and have the chance to add to this morning's total.
