Pink Stumps Day was a success

The total funds raised from cricket club all over Australia from the inaugural Pink Stumps have been is pegged at over A$37,000.
The Pink Stumps Day was organised as part of the McGrath Foundation and Cricket Cares initiative. Around 650 cricket clubs all over Australia turned pink for one round of club cricket in February.
The clubs also received a special Pink Stumps Day kit worth over a$500 to help bathe their grounds in pink.
Along with the funds raised for the McGrath Foundation during the Pink Test in Sydney during the Ashes Series, the total tally raised through Cricket Australia?s partnership with McGrath Foundation has reached over A$1million in 2011.
Six lucky clubs had their efforts rewarded with a visit from an Aussie cricket star on the day.
The McGrath Foundation is a partner of Cricket Cares, Cricket Australia?s official charity programme. The funds raised will help place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia and increase breast awareness in young women in Australia.
