With less than a month until New Zealand boards the plane for Zimbabwe, New Zealand Cricket's High Performance team will hold a pre-tour camp at Lincoln.

The camp will run from Monday 19 September to Friday 30 September and cover all areas of preparation - both on and off the field.

With the exception of the cricketers involved in the Champions League tournament in India all BLACKCAPS contracted players plus another 14 top domestic players will take part in the ten day camp.

NZC Director of Cricket John Buchanan said: "It been a long time since the BLACKCAPS played international cricket and the fact we have a number of new support staff make it a very important camp.

"Preparation for the tour of Zimbabwe will be the main focus but a range of benefits come from bringing together a large group of players.

"There will be a variety of conditioning and cricket activities including a number of limited over practice matches.

"Players will also get the opportunity to work with specialists to help get them physically and mentally fit as they gear up for the summer ahead."
