India beat West Indies in yet another another low-scoring encounter on Wednesday to win the five-match women's One-Day International series 3-2 at the Madhavrao Scindia Ground, Rajkot.

After to opting to bat first, India posted 188 for nine in its 50 overs. In its reply, India's spinners yet again bowled well to limit West Indies to 131 in 45.4 overs to thereby earn a 57-run win. Both sides were level (2-2) going into the final game on Wednesday.

Roy walked into bat with India struggling at 32 for 3. But the hosts slipped to 88 for six with Roy's dismissal. Rumeli Dhar (32) and Amita Sharma (47: 58b, 7x4, 1x6) then joined forces to add 40 runs for the seventh wicket. Later, Sharma guided the tail as India ended at 188 for nine in its 50 overs.

In its chase West Indies lost wickets at regular intervals with only Shanel Daley (63: 112b, 6x4) holding the innings together.

Left-arm spinner Gouher Sultana (2-25) and Roy spun a web around the West Indies middle and lower-order to hand the hosts a series win.

The two teams now head into a three-match Twenty20 International series starting on 22 January at Ahmedabad.
