Proteas Women confirm India and Australia assignments
South Africa have announced two blockbuster multi-format series at home, where they will be hosting the champion teams.
India will visit the Proteas' home for three ODIs in December as part of the ICC Women's Championship 2025-29 cycle that will determine the fate of teams qualifying for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in 2029.
The match-up against India will also feature a one-off Test. This will mark the fourth red-ball clash between the two sides and just the second Women’s Test to be played in Gqeberha, the first since South Africa hosted England at the venue in December 1960.
Moving on from that, Australia will arrive in March of next year for three T20Is, as many ODIs and a Test match.
The four-day red-ball encounter will mark only the second time the Proteas Women and Australia meet in Test whites, after their previous clash in Perth in February 2024, where Australia sealed a dominant innings and 284-run victory.

Speaking on the announcement, CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki said, “We are delighted to host two of the world’s leading teams in India and Australia for what promises to be a blockbuster home summer for the Proteas Women."
"These tours will showcase the very best of international women’s cricket and build on the encouraging rise in fan attendance, as we continue to welcome growing crowds across the country to watch world-class players competing at some of our iconic venues.”
South Africa are currently engaged in a five-match T20I contest against New Zealand, as part of their preparations for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup in June in England & Wales.
