Results of all U/19 practice matches played on 13 February 2004

Pakistan batsman Fawad Alam produced the star turn in the second round of practice matches for the ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup 2004 with a blistering 169 runs off 108 balls.

Alam's innings helped Pakistan to a 190 run victory in Khulna on a day when seven out of nine participating teams recorded victories against local opposition.

The only sides that came unstuck were Ireland and Papua New Guinea who lost to representative sides from Khulna and Jessore.

It means that after two days of cricket and 23 matches New Zealand is the only Full Member country to have lost a warm-up match in Bangladesh.

The final practice matches are tomorrow with eight of the sixteen participating nations in action.

The official matches begin on 15 February.
