Results of ICC Annual Meetings
The ICC today announced outcomes from its week of meetings at Lord's, including Friday's annual conference.
New ICC President Percy Sonn inaugurated
Percy Sonn was inaugurated as ICC President in succession to Ehsan Mani at the conclusion of the annual conference.
56 year-old Mr Sonn, a former President of the United Cricket Board of South Africa, is the sixth person to fill the ICC's senior role following Lord (Colin) Cowdrey of Tonbridge (1989 - 93)*, Sir Clyde Walcott (1993 - 97)*, Jagmohan Dalmiya (1997 - 2000), Malcolm Gray (2000 - 2003) and Mr Mani (2003 - 2006).
His appointment as ICC President follows two years as the organisation's Vice-President, a post to which he was appointed on 1 July 2004.
Mr Sonn will hold his new office for a minimum of two years and a maximum of three years.
A new Vice-President to replace Mr Sonn will be elected at next year's annual conference.
Adoption of new ICC Strategic Plan 2006 - 2010
The annual conference adopted the ICC's new Strategic Plan, the organisation's second such plan following on from the previous one that ran from 2001 - 2005.
Mr Sonn said: "The new Strategic Plan is an excellent document which charts the course of the ICC through to 2010.
"It has been put together following an extensive consultation process between an ICC project team, our Members and stakeholders.
"It is the organisation's roadmap for the next five years, years that should be great for cricket.
"The requirement now is for our Members and stakeholders to work closely with ICC's management so that the outcomes projected in the Strategic Plan are achieved as soon as possible."
Approval of hosts for ICC Events 2007 - 2015
In accordance with the ICC Memorandum and Articles, the ICC annual conference is required to approve the venues of the ICC Events.
The Board of Directors agreed the venues for the Events and, following the approval of annual conference, the schedule until 2015 is as follows:

Myanmar becomes ICC's 97th Member
The annual conference approved an application from Myanmar to become an Affiliate Member. This takes the total membership to 97, made up of 10 Full Members, 32 Associates and 55 Affiliates.
Early termination of Tests
The Chief Executives' Committee (CEC) approved the recommendation that in a Test match where, on the last afternoon, it is clear no result is possible, play can be called off at any time once a minimum of 75 overs have been completed.
Previous regulations only allowed for stumps to be drawn after 30 minutes of the final hour had elapsed.
This new regulation will apply with immediate effect.
Gender Recognition Policy
The CEC also adopted the ICC Gender Recognition Policy thus enabling cricketers who have undergone gender reassignment surgery to play women's cricket at international level providing they meet the required criteria.
The adoption of such a policy follows the ICC's integration with the International Women's Cricket Council (IWCC) in 2005 and brings it into line with other international sporting organisations including the International Olympic Committee and the International Association of Athletics Federations.
* Lord Cowdrey and Sir Clyde Walcott both served as `Chairman' of the ICC. Prior to Lord Cowdrey's appointment the ICC was administered by the secretary of the Marylebone Cricket Club.
