Scotland await England visit
The ECB have announced the England squad for the ODI against Scotland at the Citylets Grange, Edinburgh, on Saturday 19 June. The match, England's second official ODI in Scotland, is the major event of the Scottish cricketing calendar and has been eagerly awaited by the cricketing community in Scotland.
Andrew Strauss returns to the England One-Day squad, together with Lancashire pace bowler James Anderson, after both were rested for the recent tour of Bangladesh. Warwickshire batsman Ian Bell and the Sussex all-rounder Michael Yardy have also both been recalled to a squad which includes eleven players who featured in England's triumphant ICC World T20 campaign in the West Indies.
The England squad is as follows: Andrew Strauss (captain, Middlesex), James Anderson (Lancashire), Tim Bresnan (Yorkshire), Ian Bell (Warwickshire), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Paul Collingwood (Durham), Craig Kieswetter (Somerset), Eoin Morgan (Middlesex, Kevin Pietersen (Hampshire), Ryan Sidebottom (Nottinghamshire), Graeme Swann (Nottinghamshire), Luke Wright (Sussex) and Michael Yardy (Sussex).
The match will give the Scottish public a great opportunity to see the World T20 champions in action in Edinburgh as they prepare for their five match series against Australia, which starts just three days after the Scotland match.
The Scotland squad for the match will be announced on Wednesday 16 June following Scotland's ODI against the Netherlands the previous day.
Tickets for the match, which starts at 10.45, are still available through the Cricket Scotland website at www.cricketscotland.com
