Scotland targeting three wins to finish group campaign

The first game of the tournament went really well for us, we did everything perfectly. Everything went for us, we took all our catches we bowled exceptionally well and we knocked them off pretty quickly. The next two games, it got quite murky against Netherlands, we didn't quite take all our chances, but credit to them. They batted really well and then bowled really well in the middle overs that made it hard for us to score freely.

I was unlucky myself, getting run out in the non-strikers; it end doesn't happen often. I was pretty gutted. My partner called after he smashed on strike, bowler fortunately got hand on it, deflected on to the stumps and I was quite away from the crease at that point and then just dragged myself off the pitch unfortunately. We gave it a good go, but from then on it got quite tough, especially after they bowled so well in the middle overs

Against Afghanistan, we got Mangal early but the rest of the lads went off to a flier. It's very hard to bowl early on when you have two very talented players who came out and smashed it - they got 70 runs off not too many balls- it really gave them a great platform to go forth and couple of other players chipped in really quickly, made it a really big total.

We were quite confident about chasing 210, it was such a lovely pitch, quite small boundary. 200 is not an abnormal score anymore, we were fairly confident after getting off to a good start especially during the Powerplay when we could put some pressure on. Preston Mommsen came in and really started to take off and with five overs left we had a really good chance, about 60 odd runs to get off five overs. We fell fairly short, it came down to a few dropped chances and a great innings from Mohammad Shahzad.

After the great start we had in the warm-up and against USA, I didn't honestly expect us to be sitting with two points from three matches. We couldn't have had a better warm-up and preparation for the tournament. We did get very unlucky against Neterlands. We talk about small things going your way and it didn't go our way that day. Not to taking any credit off Netherlands, they played really well. But if you give someone like Wesley a second chance, they definitely take the game away from you. When someone scores an 80 off not many balls they're going to put you under a lot of pressure, and we ended up giving them 30 runs too many.

We've got three more games lined up now - against Canada, Oman and Kenya today. Our plans won't change and we're very confident in what we do. We just had a very unlucky experience against Netherlands and played against a very good Afghanistan side on the day.

But we'll go about the same way in all three remaining matches. They've all shown how good they can be and we'll do ourselves justice in the next three games by showing them what we can do. We'll be implementing our skills on the pitch and just tidy everything up and take our chances when they come and just keep enjoying, that will be our main focus.

It is absolutely crucial that we target three wins in our remaining matches, but we'll take each game as it comes. First up we've got Kenya, we'll just ensure that we turn up with the right frame of mind and keep doing what we do because we all are playing well, just that we got a little bit unfortunate and got beaten by the better side on the day. Nothing changes overnight, we'll just go back to what we do best and enjoy the experience.

I'm quite a new player to the group. Back in Ireland, a few weeks ago, it was my first Twenty20 International series, it was a really enjoyable experience. I'm sure seen as a T20 specialists, but I see myself as player of every format. Probably T20 suits my game the most, I like to just be free with my batting, I like to just go out there and hit every ball that comes at me. It's a great way to play the game and I really enjoy it.

I feel good about my current form, after having a good build-up and a great winter away. I'm working really hard and things haven't quite gone my way yet in the tournament so far, but I've got a couple of half decent scores and want to do more. I want to show what I'm about and what I want to be in a few years time. I want to showcase my talent in this tournament to set off my career.

I've played for the Canberra Comets, spent five months out there in Canberra playing club cricket and a bit of state cricket which is fantastic. It's just the time away in the sun and playing cricket in a different culture, you've got the weather and the people and different style of cricket as well, the slightly more longer format. It was a really good playing experience.

It would be really good to be there in India for the ICC World Twenty20 2016 but we've got to focus on the coming up matches first. We've got three games to push ourselves and focus on to make sure that we qualify. It will be a fantastic experience to be a part of the World Cup. It will be a chance for us to show where our balance is as a squad and show that we can be out there competing with the best teams in the world and that's what we are about as team.
