Scotland win big after Oman fold for 24
It took just 17.1 overs for Scotland to bowl their opposition out at Al Amerat, Oman, on Tuesday, 19 February, as Ruaidhri Smith and Adrian Neill took four wickets each and Alasdair Evans got two. The Oman line-up, featuring four List A debutants in Moonamchery Michal, Khurram Nawaz, Sandeep Goud and Twinkal Bhandari, were simply unable to put together partnerships.
Only one Oman batsman could get to double-digit scores: Khawar Ali made 15. Five batsmen were dismissed for ducks; there were three extras in the innings. In reply, it took Scotland 3.2 overs to chase down the target of 25.

Smith, who, like Neill, finished with 4/7, was thrilled at how the game unfolded. "[Normally] there's a partnership somewhere in the game, but we kept picking up wickets all the way though," he said. "I didn't think it was a bad wicket, we just bowled really well and took our chances when it came."
Oman and Scotland are involved in a three-match 50-over series and the remaining two matches will be played on 20 and 22 February.
