"The Cricket World Cup team will be spread across New Zealand and Australia to help develop and deliver a world-class sporting event and provide a unique experience for fans, visitors and business," Mr Harnden said.
"With 14 cricketing nations, more than 400 accredited players and officials and a potential television audience of nearly one billion people, it is crucial that we showcase New Zealand and Australia as the world's best for hosting first-class sporting events.
Mr Harnden said recruiting the right people was important in establishing one team to deliver an event that will capture the attention of both countries and a worldwide audience.
"These first appointments are critical to establishing a solid foundation for the world cup planning. It is an exciting time for both countries and important we find the right people who can shape the event over the full lifecycle.
"The Head of New Zealand will be a key face for the event in that country and will be part of a team that will collaborate seamlessly across the Tasman."
The ICC CWC2015 will be jointly hosted by New Zealand and Australia in February/March 2015 with 14 countries competing for international cricket's greatest prize. It was last hosted trans-Tasman in 1992.
"The ICC Cricket World Cup will also provide an enormous opportunity for both countries to be promoted as first-rate destinations for business, trade and tourism," Mr Harnden said.
"This is an exciting recruitment drive offering exceptional career-defining roles to be part of a close team running one of the world's premier sporting events."
