Sehwag to miss ODI series against South Africa
India vice-captain Virender Sehwag has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against South Africa owing to a shoulder injury.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary N Srinivasan announced this on Thursday morning.
"Virender Sehwag has been advised to withdraw from the ODI series against South Africa to tend to his shoulder. Rohit Sharma will replace him in the squad," said Srinivasan in a statement.
Test opener Murali Vijay will also stay back in South Africa for the ODI series as the seventeenth member of the squad, informed Srinivasan.
