It is six months to go until the first ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 match which will be between Bangladesh and India.

To celebrate this occasion, look back on five classic matches between the two sides.

Sourav's century

After India had restricted Bangladesh to 249-6 off 50 overs in Dhaka in May 2000, Sourav Ganguly played one of his great ODI innings.

He smashed 135 not out off just 124 balls, reaching his century off just 104 balls, as India achieved its target with 9.5 overs in hand.

It is the highest individual score in an ODI match between India and Bangladesh.

Yuvraj's first ton

Yuvraj Singh recorded his first ODI century when he struck an impressive 102 not out against Bangladesh in April 2003 in Dhaka.

His innings came from just 85 balls as India powered to 276 all out, with Yuvraj striking nine fours and four sixes.

Bangladesh was then dismissed for just 76 all out.

Getting closer to victory

Bangladesh came close to achieving its first win over India in December 2004 when it lost by 11 runs.

Mohammad Kaif's 80 had helped India reach 245-8 off 50 overs, with Rahul Dravid scoring a half century.

In reply Habibul Bashar and Khaled Mashud both struck half centuries, but it could only reach 234-8 off 50 overs.

A famous first win

Bangladesh achieved its first ever victory over India with a famous victory in Dhaka in December 2004.

Batting first, Bangladesh made 229-9, with Aftab Ahmed top-scoring with 67 off 98 balls.

India looked to be heading for a comfortable victory when it was on 114-3 with 21 overs still in hand, but Sridharan Sriram's dismissal sparked a flurry of wickets.

Joginder Sharma gave his side hope but in the end he ran out of partners to spark wild celebrations amongst the Bangladesh fans and players.

World Cup Shocker

In arguably the greatest moment in Bangladesh's cricketing existence, it achieved one of the greatest shocks in the history of the ICC Cricket World Cup when it defeated India by five wickets in March 2007.

Batting first, India made 191 all out with only Sourav Ganguly (67) and Yuvraj Singh (47) making any scores of note. Bangladesh was in fine form with Mashrafe Mortaza taking 4-38 and Abdur Razzak and Mohammad Rafique taking three wickets apiece.

Tamim Iqbal then scored a half century at almost a run a ball, before Mushfiqur Rahim (56 not out) and Shakib Al Hasan (53) took Bangladesh to an incredible victory that meant India was knocked out after the opening stage of the competition.
