Sree Charani sets all-time Women's T20I Rankings record

India spinner Sree Charani has reached the highest-ever rating in the ICC Women's T20I Bowling Rankings.

The left-arm spinner, already the No.1-ranked T20I bowler, achieved record-high rating of 817 points following her recent exploits in Japan. 

Her efforts push her past the previous mark of 806 set by Australia's Megan Schutt in November 2018.

Charani was India's go-to bowler in their recent triumphant run to an eighth Women's Asia Cup title followed by a gold-medal campaign at the Asian Games days later.

Sree Charani took 12 wickets across the Asia Cup, including 4/20 in the final against Sri Lanka as India completed a 72-run win to lift the trophy for the eighth time.

At the Asian Games in Japan, Sree Charani took career-best figures of 4/10 against hosts Japan to send India into the semi-finals, then claimed two wickets as India beat Sri Lanka by 147 runs in the gold-medal match on 22 September that carried her rating to its 817 peak.

Deepti Sharma picked three wickets in the Asian Games final against Sri Lanka. This has taken her to 754 points in the T20I Bowling Rankings, with England's Sophie Ecclestone third on 723.

Among the batters, Smriti Mandhana is back in the top five of the ICC Women's T20I Batting Rankings. The left-handed opener scored 79 in India's win over Sri Lanka in the Asian Games final.

The ODI series between Zimbabwe and West Indies in Harare produced other impactful movements in the rankings. Players from both sides made gains, in a series that's presently tied at 1-1.

Hayley Matthews rose three places to fourth in the ODI Batting Rankings with 711 points, just behind her career-best rating of 714. This rise came on the back of a record knock of 182 in the first ODI.

Teammate Realeanna Grimmond (270 points) jumped 34 spots to joint 102nd.

Zimbabwe's Nyasha Gwanzura was the architect of a famous win over the West Indies in the second game of the series, winning it for her side, with an unbeaten 18 and a career-best 4/33. She rises 52 places to sit at 156 in the ICC ODI Women's Bowling Rankings.

Her team-mate Modester Mupachikwa was among the big movers in the ICC Women's ODI Batting Rankings, moving up 16 places to a career-best 40th on 492 points after scores of 86 and 38 across the two matches.

Francisca Chipare climbed 26 places to joint 123rd after figures of 2/57 and 2/16 across the two matches, while West Indies pair of Ashmini Munisar (up 23 to joint 84th) and Aaliyah Alleyne (up eight to 58th) both advanced as well based on their performances. 

Alleyne took 3/44 in the series opener followed by 2/27 in the second game. On the other hand, Munisar picked four wickets at an average of 10.5 over the two games.

Australia's Ash Gardner remains top of the ODI All-Rounder Rankings on 497 points, with Hayley Matthews leading the equivalent T20I list on 502.

Alana King (753 points) tops the ODI Bowling Rankings, while Beth Mooney (785) has led the T20I Batting Rankings since reclaiming it from teammate Georgia Voll (779) after Player-of-the-Tournament heroics in the T20 World Cup final, and Smriti Mandhana (790) holds the ODI Batting summit by the same eight-point margin over Laura Wolvaardt (782).
