Sri Lanka name squads for England white-ball tour

Kusal Mendis will lead the side across both formats, while Charith Asalanka has been appointed his deputy.

Pathum Nissanka, who has been in terrific form lately will bolster the top of the order once again, with Kamindu Mendis, Janith Liyanage and Pavan Rathnayake set to strengthen the middle-order.

T20I squad:

Dasun Shanaka provides further experience down the order, while Sri Lanka have plenty of all-round options in Wanindu Hasaranga and Dunith Wellalage to tackle the conditions away from home.

The bowling attack includes Maheesh Theekshana, Sachindu Colombage, Dushmantha Chameera, Eshan Malinga, Asitha Fernando and Dilshan Madushanka as Sri Lanka look to grab their first series win against England in 12 years.

For the T20I series, Lahiru Udara and Tharindu Rathnayake come into the squad, while Nuwan Thushara and Binura Fernando provide additional pace-bowling options.
