Switzerland post the biggest win of Div 4 tournament
Switzerland defeated Slovenia by a mammoth margin of 282 runs on the third day of the European Division 4 Championships held at Limassol, Cyprus.
The Swiss couldn't quite match Cyprus' 360-4 on Wednesday but its bowlers were much more clinical than its hosts as Slovenia was dismissed for just 48 in less than 34 overs. The day belonged to skipper Azeem Nazir who scored 175 runs from just 144 balls, complete with 16 fours and seven sixes and also picked up 3-5 with the ball.
Austria won the battle of the unbeaten teams, beating hosts Cyprus by five wickets with more than five overs to spare.
In the final game of the day, an undefeated half-century by Tony Whiteman ensured a second victory of the week for Luxembourg and left Finland still looking for its first win with just two games remaining. Chasing a target of 185 to win, Whiteman (58 not out) was well supported by Philip Burleigh (25) and Nishith Gandhi in the team's four-wicket victory.
