Tanzania vs Saint Helena | Match Highlights | ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier B, 2026

Watch the highlights as Tanzania beat Saint Helena by 161 runs in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier B 2026.

The pair had both secured their two top spots in the six team tournament before they were slated to play each other, though rain forced the abandonment of play on the final day of action.

The Tanzanians, as predicted, showed their mettle as favourites, brushing aside hopefuls Malawi by eight wickets to make an opening day statement, before a strong 158-run win to boost their net run rate. The side had similar scale victories over Seychelles and Saint Helena, meaning they topped the table on a tiebreak over the Ghanaians.

Young standouts Khalidy Juma and Laksh Bakrani again showed their qualities with ball in hand, both claiming eight wickets apiece.

A bowling partnership known in African circles as The Storm, Juma and Bakrania were supported by Yalinde Nkanya and Ally Kimote (both six wickets), as the side claimed 39 of 40 possible wickets across the tournament.

Eswatini v Ghana | Match Highlights | ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier B, 2026

Watch the highlights as Ghana beat Eswatini by 83 runs in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier B 2026.

It was the Ghanaians' heartstopping final-ball win over the more fancied Malawi side that proved to be the difference in the race for second place.

Walking out to face the final ball needing four to after the dismissal of Philip Yevugah, Lee Nyarko squared off against Malawi star Sami Sohail. Advancing down the pitch, luck was on Nyarko's side as his outside edge evaded the keeper and fielders inside the circle, and the ball reached the rope to spark home celebrations in Accra.

On the high of that victory, the hosts closed out with victories over Saint Helena and Eswatini, meaning progress was secured before a meeting with the Tanzanians and before rain could curtail them.

Two more sub-regional events are slated in Africa, with Botswana set to host Sub-regional Qualifier A in late May, and Qualifier C to be hosted by Nigeria later in the year.

Namibia are automatic qualifiers for the next round of T20 World Cup qualifying by virtue of their participation at the last T20 World Cup, while Zimbabwe and South Africa already have T20 World Cup 2028 tickets thanks to their Super 8s finish in the 2026 tournament.
