Tanzania conducts coaching clinic in UK
Tanzania national cricket players conducted coaching sessions for children ahead of their six warm-up games in England in the build-up to the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 4 in Italy this month.
The players conducted a three-hour coaching clinic with 100 children at the Watford Town Cricket Club on Sunday, 1 August, a day before their first scheduled match against Combined Service XI.
The clinic was highly appreciated by the members of the host club and the parents of children participating in the programme, as well as the efforts of the players, who volunteered towards the development of the game with great spirit.
Tanzania will be hoping its visit to England will prove ideal preparation ahead of the WCL tournament in Bologna, scheduled from August 14-21. It will join Nepal, USA, Italy, Cayman Islands and Argentina to compete in the next stage of the competition as the teams push ultimately towards inclusion in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
