Tanzania won its final build up game against Countesthorpe Cricket Club by five wickets in Leicester on Monday to wind up its tour of the UK.

Tanzania lost the toss on a bright sunny day and was sent to field. A good opening bowling spell from Khalil Rehemtulla damaged the Countesthorpe CC top batting order by taking four early wickets. Medium pace bowler Ally Mpeka and spinner Kassim Nassoro together took the remaining five wickets to dismiss the rest of the batsman in the 43rd over for only 140 runs on the board.

In reply, Tanzania's batsmen comfortably chased the low score in the 37th over for the loss of only five wickets to win its final build up game ahead of the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 4 event in Italy.

Coach Zully Rehemtulla said: "It has been a great cricket week and we would like to thank our hosts Watford Town Cricket Club for their support, cordial hospitality and well-organized tour for our team. Winning three out of our five scheduled matches against strong combined sides is a great achievement making our tour fruitful. It was a great opportunity for our young players to play against first-class players which will benefit them in the forthcoming event in Italy."

Tanzania tour of England was in preparation for the Division 4 tournament in Bologna, scheduled from August 14-21. It will join Nepal, USA, Italy, Cayman Islands and Argentina to compete in the next stage of the competition as the teams push ultimately towards inclusion in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
