Thai women prepare in India for Asiad

Thaliand's women's cricket team captained by Sornnarin Tippoch has begun preparing for the Asian Games to be held in Guangzhou in November this year.
The Thailand women's team, with coach Tithi Kader, are currently based in Bangalore at India's National Cricket Academy for a fortnight's training for the Asiad. Thailand team will also play four twenty20 games against representative sides of Karnataka.
"Former Asian Cricket Council Development Officer Roger Binny was instrumental in setting up the programme," said Cricket Association of Thailand Chief Executive Mohideen Kader on the Asian Cricket Council's website.
The Bangalore trip is meant to get the Thailand team used to playing on turf pitches before the Asiad gets underway.
"It has been raining consistently in Thailand this summer and the players have had no opportunity to be out in the middle in match conditions. Playing in India will be challenging and a good experience," added Kader.
Also training at Bangalore is the Chinese women's team who are also are preparing for the Asiad.
