Three players to attend EAP camp

Three Fiji players have received the ultimate honour by making the final cut to attend a high performance East Asia Pacific cricket camp in Brisbane later this year.
Sekove Ravoka, Maciu Gauna and Sakaraia Lomani will attend the week-long camp at the Cricket Australia's Centre of Excellence, where they will receive expert coaching alongside some of the best cricketers from around the EAP region.
The camp doubles as a chance for players to impress selectors ahead of the Australian Country Championships in which EAP fields a team.
Ravoka, 28, from Nadi, will attend the camp for the first time, while Ono-I-Lau's Lomani, 30, and Nadi's Gauna, 21, are both well known at this level.
Lomani, in particular, has made the EAP team for the last three years, while Gauna has attended the camp for the last two years.
ICC EAP Regional Development Officer Tom Evans, who will be head coach at the camps, said he expected the Fjiian players to perform well.
"It's great to have Sak and Maciu back again who will add some experience to the group having been involved in the Centre of Excellence program before," Evans said.
"It's also fantastic to have Sekove coming who I was able to work with in PNG and is a very talented player."
Nine Fijian players were named in the original squad, however were unavailable to attend.
Kitione and Tukana Tavo and Noa Acawei are in the military, Imran Khan is based in the United States and has work commitments, Viliame Yabaki has school exams and national captain Josefa Rika was unavailable.
The camp will run in Brisbane from October 30 to November 11 with the Fijian players taking part in the first week.
A total of 27 players will take part, along with two development coaches.
