Triumphant Vanuatu Return Home
Vanuatu returned home on Sunday after a successful Pepsi International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cricket League Division 8 campaign in Samoa after defeating Ghana in the Final, to remain undefeated at the tournament.
The tournament victory sees Vanuatu jump to 39th in the latest ICC World Cricket Rankings.
They have also qualified with Ghana to compete in the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 7 Tournament which will be held in 2013.
The win also meant that Vanuatu became the first ICC East Asia-Pacific (EAP) Country to win an ICC World Cricket League title.
"I can't express how I feel right now with what the boys did out there," said an elated Vanuatu Captain, Andrew Mansale right after the match. "We are all just so happy and can't wait to get back to Vanuatu to party."
In celebrating this momentous occasion, Vanuatu Cricket has organised a drive parade through Port Vila Town on Thursday at 3:30pm, starting from the home of Vanuatu Cricket, Independence Park.
