Pakistan declared their first innings on 346/9, and New Zealand struggled to get going, ending the day on 168/6 with Todd Astle and Kyle Jamieson in the middle. The main reason for New Zealand putting up a decent total was Ravindra, who scored 70.
Highlights from Rachin Ravindra's 76 (89)
Ravindra has played two ICC Under-19 World Cups, in 2016 and 2018, and was one of New Zealand’s better performers in 2018, scoring 117 against Kenya and 76 against South Africa.
He wasn’t quite at the top of his game in the three 50-over games that preceded the ongoing four-dayer, with scores of 11, 6 and 28, but the latest innings should help his confidence.
