Uganda national coach, Mohammed Ebrahim Barney, has set his sights on the next ICC Intercontinental Shield tie against UAE in January and is determined to groom a disciplined side for the encounter.

Blaming lack of player concentration on the team's dismal showing against Kenya in the three-match 50-over series that led to a 3-0 whitewash, the coach has set tight rules and asked players to report promptly on 4 January for training.

In an interview with Daily monitor, vice-captain Davis Arinaitwe said: "He wasn't overly happy with the way we played in Nairobi. We won the Twenty20 matches and lost all the three 50-over games. A strict disciplinary measure awaits anyone who fails to turn up without a worthy excuse. He is determined to take us to another level."

Uganda, currently the leaders of the inaugural four-nation tournament with 20 points will head on to Dubai on 15 January for the next four-day game against UAE from 20-23 January and a series of one-day games.
