Uganda continues its unbeaten run to top the table

Uganda is on top of the log with 8 points 2 better than second placed Kenya, while Botswana is yet to secure victory in East Africa. Batsmen continued to enjoy their art with runs following at the evergreen Kampala ovals. Topping the batting is Morris Ouma on 164 in closely trailed by Botswana's Karabo Modise on 154 runs 4 innings. Uganda captain Davis Karashani has so far bagged the most wickets standing at 9 wickets for 49 runs in 16 overs.

DAY THREE - AM MATCHES

At Lugogo Cricket Oval, Botswana won the toss and opted to field. Kenya went to score 167 for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Alex Obanda top scored with 36 runs off 29 balls which 3 fours and 2 sixes. Rakep Patel came in handy with 23 runs off 20 balls while Tanmay Mishra was unbeaten on 28 runs off 15 balls.

Only Karabo Modise managed 2wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs as Ramatu Segolame flew for 22 runs in 3 overs and Nabil Master 34 runs in 4 overs for only 1 wicket each.

James Ngoche was Botswana's undoing returning figure of 2 wickets for 11 runs in 4 overs. Nonetheless, Rasheen Faisal Rana topscored in the game with a decent 47 runs not out off 59 balls. Botswana finished on 96/6 lossing by 71 runs.

While at Kyambogo Cricket Oval, Kenya won the toss and opted to bat. Morris Ouma then went blazing smacking four boundaries and five sixes) in his 59 ball inning to amass 93 runs. Morris was ably supported by Collins Obuya who came to the party with 50 runs off 46 balls to help Kenya score 171 runs for 5 wickets.

Hard fighting Nigeria could not contain the Kenya attack led by Lucas Oluch ensure the opening batsmen go back to dressing room with ducks as he returned figures of 3 for 8 runs (including 4 wides) in 4 overs. Bejide Oljide top scored for Nigeria wth 27 runs of 32 balls as Nigeria finished with 83 runs for 7 wickets losing by 88 runs.

DAY THREE - AM MATCHES

Having won the toss, Uganda struggled to score runs against opening bowlers Hasanth Mudiyanselage 2 wickets for 13 runs in 4 overs and Russel Whitey 3 wickets for 11 runs in 3 overs. and finished on 86 runs in 18.3 overs. Coming in at number 9, Charles Waiswa went hard on Botswana scooping the Man of Match award after he top scored with 23 runs of 21 balls with support from Frank Nsubuga 16 runs off 24 balls in Uganda's paltry 86 runs for 10 wickets - At one time Uganda was 15 runs for 4 wickets. It was a Charles Waiswa - 3 wickets for 11 runs in 4 overs and Brian Masaba - 4 wickets for 13 runs in 3.3 overs to halt Botswana's chase at 59 runs for 10 wickets17.4 overs. Botswana's best came with minute scores of 11 apiece from Rasheed Faisal Rana and Nabil Master. Botswana, who are to win any match lost by 27 runs.

At Kyambogo, Tanzania won the toss and opted to bat. Opening the batting, Remtulla Ali blazed to 90 Nout off 60 balls with nine 4s and three 6s and Benson Nyaikini scored 38 runs off 21 balls to help Tanzania score 183 for 5 wickets. Nigeria's opening bowler Saheed Akolade picked 3 wickets for 23 runs in 4 overs.

Nigeria was bowled out for 118 with only Sesan Abejide (25 runs not out) and Adegbola Kunie (24) resisting Tanzania's bowling. Riziki Kiseto, 3 wickets for 13 runs was the pick of the Tanzania bowlers as Nigeria lost by 65 runs.
