Unity will be key for Windies' success in SA: Ganga

West Indies opener Daren Ganga said that unity will be crucial to his team’s success during their forthcoming tour of South Africa.
"For the West Indies to be competitive in South Africa there must be unity. South Africa will be a tough tour, no two ways about that. They are playing in their backyard and they have just decimated New Zealand," he said.
"The problem in the past is that we did not bowl out South Africa twice to win the Test matches," said Ganga.
He also said that West Indies has a good side and "once we can back the bowlers with good out cricket and good batting, then we will surely be competitive in this series".
"I am being given a chance for the South African series and I will definitely dig in and do my best for the West Indies," said Ganga, who has been dropped for the ongoing series against Zimbabwe.
Ganga has scored 2043 runs from 45 Test matches at an average of 26.19, with three centuries and nine half centuries.
Incidentally Ganga made his debut in South Africa in 1998. He recalled that when he made his debut, he had emerged from secondary school cricket.
"I would now like to see myself as a senior cricketer, one who can handle the pressures of playing at this level."
"For me it is just getting back into the groove and finding form for international cricket. I have been batting well, but there is still work to be done before the first Test," he said.
