Updated media information for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Gqeberha - 13 February

Australia take on Bangladesh in the first T20 World Cup match in Gqeberha on Tuesday, 14 February at 19h00 local time (+2GMT).

Please note the below practice and press conference times and note the change to Australia’s press conference time.

On Monday, 13 February:

  • Australia will hold a training session at St. George’s Park from 09h30 to 12h30 local time. They will hold their pre-match press conference in the press conference room which is situated in the dining area of the media centre in the indoor centre pavilion in person and via Zoom at 12h
  • Bangladesh will hold a training session at St. George’s Park from 14h30 to 17h30 local time. They will hold their pre-match press conference in the press conference room which is situated in the dining area of the media centre in the indoor centre pavilion in person and via Zoom at 14h00.

Press conference and filming information: ****

  • Press conferences will follow a hybrid model where apart from those attending in person, media will also be able to log on remotely via Zoom (as per details provided). Some media conferences may also be conducted only remotely. Please ensure you log on in advance.
  • Accredited Non-Rights Holders are allowed to film pre-match day press conferences, but no filming is allowed inside the venues on match days. Videos shot at venues on pre-match days may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.
  • The ICC will upload unedited press conference clips and some B-rolls onto the Online Media Zone. The footage, whether provided by the ICC or shot by the media themselves, may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.
  • No filming (either by camera or phone) is allowed from seats during the pre-match day press conferences; those wanting to film can do so from behind the theatre style seating arrangement
  • Non-Rights Holder camerapersons will not be granted match day accreditation

Note for photographers:

  • Photographers are expected to wear their bibs at all times and only move about in designated areas
  • On pre-match days they need to shoot from the areas identified by the Venue Operations Manager
  • On match-days, photographers need to arrive for a morning meeting one hour in advance of the toss, when they will be assigned photo positions by the Venue Operations Manager
  • NRH photographers will not be allowed at press conferences.

  • Non-Rights Holders’ media accreditation cards are available at the three venues, for more information refer to Sunday’s advisory here
  • If you are no longer able to attend the matches you have been approved for, please email leratoMZ@cricket.co.za to let us know, so that we can facilitate as many media as possible.

Media Centre timings: The media areas will open two hours before the start of the first match at any venue and remain open till 2 ½ hours after close of play.
