Venue changed for the third India-Australia Test
The BCCI announced a change of venue in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Monday, with the match to now be held at Holkar Stadium in Indore from March 1.
While Dharamshala had been initially named as the hosts, issues with the relaid pitch at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (HPCA) have forced the game to be moved.
"Owing to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully," a statement from the BCCI read.
Dharamshala hosted its only Test in 2017. Incidentally, that game too was played between India and Australia.
