The clip, posted on the Pakistan Cricket Board social channels, showed the two international stars greeting each other when the India team arrived for a training session.

Afridi, who has been ruled out of the tournament due to a knee injury, was sat on the sidelines wearing knee braces.

After explaining to Kohli the severity of his injury, the Pakistan pacer was then heard saying: "Aapke liye dua kar rahe hai wapas form mein aaye. Dekhna chahte hai aapko."(We are praying for your comeback. We want to see you in form again).

Apart from Kohli, all of Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul were also seen catching up with Afridi, the 2021 ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year.

Earlier, the BCCI had also shared a clip, showing glimpses of India players' interactions with members of Pakistan and Afghanistan camps.

Pakistan's players also caught up with compatriots from Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

As always, the photo shoot session was a laugh riot, with the players taking the opportunity to let loose.

Once they hit the nets though, it was all action.

After the session, however, it was once again fun and games, with India captain Rohit Sharma leading the way.

India, Pakistan and Hong Kong are in Group A of the Asia Cup, starting on 27 August, while Group B comprises Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The 2022 Asia Cup will kickstart with tournament hosts Sri Lanka taking on Afghanistan on Saturday followed by a highly-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan on Sunday.
